Kim Hargreaves' Precious
I love Kim Hargreaves designs and Precious from her Dark House Collection, Heartfelt is no exception. It's knitted in Kidsilk Haze (and beads) with no pattern modifications at all and I chose the smoky grey colour because I'd tried on the one Kate had made last December so I knew it was what I wanted with this skirt and a t-shirt. It seemed a shame to be knitting an identical one but we decided sharing would be too difficult. It's going to be just the thing for any posh going out we might do while we're here in France and it's our 40th wedding anniversary later in August so I'm sure to need it then!
It's very funny being here with no children or grandchildren after such a concentrated time with them over the last almost-year and I'm missing them very much indeed - it doesn't seem right without them but I'm sure I'll adjust.
And just when I could do without a new challenge I've had to join Socktopus's mystery Lace KAL -Aurantium Blossom-and I love the name!! Despite not having the perfect yarn here with me and without my favourite lace knitting needles.
At least I think I've joined as the biggest challenge of all is that this is happening via a Twibe on Twitter....hmm new words to me.... I really could have done without this tweeting and I'm not finding it easy. I think I've signed up to Twitter and I think I've joined the KAL.....We'll see.

Kathryn, it's lovely. I remember the one your daughter knitted too.
Kim Hargreaves designs such feminine knits doesn't she.
I hope you are enjoying your well earned peace and quiet.
Absolutely beautiful, Kathryn, and glad that you've got your own version! I have the Heartfelt pattern book but still haven't managed to knit anything from it.
Hope you have a wonderful wedding anniversary! And yes, you always miss kids/g-kids, but hopefully you'll have a bit of time to yourself to enjoy what YOU want to do!
hmm looks so soft and feminine :) very pretty!
That is beautiful. I love Kim Hargreaves too but have not made any thing recently. I mightjust add this one to my (long!)queue.
That is so simply elegant that I want one straight away and will pop try to track down the pattern and makings before,I too, pop off to France for a holiday. I have been browsing your blog and love the things you have made. I want to try the beads too. Thankyou.
Cheers Gillian
It is so pretty and delicate, I love it. Was it hard to knit? I am sure you will manage in the South of France without the kids, get to pamper yourself a bit and relax again.
What a beautiful little cardigan - I love the whole outfit you've put together. Good luck with the kal, and the Twittering!
What an elegant garment!
The sweater is gorgeous! The beads add such an elegant touch.
Happy 40th to you and your husband. Hope you have a wonderful celebration.
