Another Health Moan

At the risk of boring you all rigid I'm afraid this is another moan. My health issues of last week were compounded at the weekend by a horrible stomach upset so now I'm feeling doubly dizzy. On the positive side, my appointment with the cardiologist has come for 7th December - goodness knows how long an NHS appointment would have taken.

The more I delve via the internet into dizziness the more my symptoms seem to fit the picture of panic attacks, particularly as my Mum had these and there can be a tendency for them to run in families. We all thought Mum's were imagined and showed very little sympathy.

I'm having lots of trouble keeping up with blog news and my knitting is at an all time slow, although Little Arrowhead is being blocked and I've made a start on Miriam Felton's Icarus from IK Summer 06 using KSH Villain.

I'm also very excited about knitting this jacket ( the fourth along) in Paton's Jet which is a lovely 70%Wool/30%Alpaca on 5.5mm needles so it should knit up fast(ish).

Photos when the yarn arrives.

I'm so sorry to hear about your health problems, Kathryn. I agree, anxiety-/panic attacks can very well be the reason for that - if you're diagnosed with that, then let me tell you that there's help out there! It's a long and stoney road, but you'll be able to live with it and probably even get rid of it in the long run. I was diagnosed with anxiety-/panic attacks many years ago and, though I didn't get rid of everything, have learned to live very well with it - if you have any questions how to cope with it or if you just feel the need to rant and talk, feel free to drop me a mail anytime - shareadream@hotmail.com

I was dizzy for about two months of last year. If I closed my eyes I'd fall over! And I was always walking into door frames. Turned out that though I had no other symptoms, it was my ears.

Though panic attacks can't be very nice, better that than something worse! From what I understand, being dizzy is not usually caused by something "serious" though.

Good luck with your appointment. I bet you really can't wait to get to the bottom of this.
