Not Better..But Finished Forest Canopy

New Shawl

I love lace knitting! And this is my first for Lacevember.

And here is a close-up of the simple but effective pattern.

It is Forest Canopy Shawl by Susan Pierce Lawrence at "I'm Knitting as Fast as I Can". I used 100 gm of Hand Maiden Sea Silk in colour "Vintage" on 4.5mm Brittany needles. I'm planning another of these in Kaalund Expressions which is a kid mohair and I've chosen the "spring flower" colour but so far this is still in the skein.

Still Dizzy

My dizziness and other unexplained symptoms have still not gone and the GP decided I should be referred to a specialist - between us we decided he should be a cardiologist.

In the meantime I've decided that some alternative remedies are not going to do any harm and might help.

I'm taking a homeopathic mixture of Kali. Brom, coffea, passiflora, avena sativa and valeriana at night time -I know you shouldn't mix these but its definitely helping with sleep and has no side effects in the day. Then 3 times a day I'm having Avena Sativa as a herbal tincture. I'm also trying to eat small meals every 2 hours or so to minimise any possible hypoglycemia although my blood tested normal for sugar.

I hope it sorts itself out soon because it's interfering lots.

Oh Kathryn, this shawl is absolutely adorable! What an amazing pattern it is, and the yarn you've been using for it is so pretty too, I so love these colors! This is definitely a true piece of art, and you did a great job with it! Congratulations!
I'm so sorry to hear that you're still not feeling well - I've had a bunch of problems with dizzyness in my life too and can well relate to how much it interferes with your daily life. I think it's a good thing that you'll be having it checked by a specialist - he'll find out about the cause and then it'll be possible to have it treated. I wish you all the very best, good luck to you and fingers crossed!
