Beaded Jewellery

I know lots of you make beaded jewellery but until I met up with my crafty friend from the past it's not something I had ever wanted to try. She showed me some "simple" pieces that she'd made on a one-day course and naturally I've had to have a go.

These are my attempts so far.

It's so pretty and I'm very excited about it. It's nice to be able to get just the right colours to go with hand-knitteds and we're very lucky to have an excellent bead shop - Spellbound Beads - locally.

Health Update - DONT read if you don't want to be bored.

There's no change in my general dizziness and more weird things seem to be going on as well - consistent with either the chronic anxiety scenario or other possibilities.

I've seen my opthalmic consultant who says the central loss of vision in my left eye wouldn't explain any of my symptoms. I've also seen my cardiologist who like the GP isn't sure what's going on. I'm going to have my blood pressure monitored for 24 hours because one possibility is that my high blood pressure is being over-treated and I'm having an MRI brain scan in January and then I'm seeing the cardiologist again.

Meanwhile I'm keeping "calmish" with herbal remedies but I'm wondering about trying some acupuncture. The trouble is to find a really good acupuncturist and not just someone who "does" acupuncture. I need a personal recommendation I think.

It's not easy to stay calm when you don't know what's going on. I'm glad you seem to be keeping it under control. I worry about my health every day (honestly) and I know it's bad for my health (haha) but can't stop.

I've been odering beads from Robins Beads on ebay, as we don't have a local shop. I've only used them in knitting but would like to try jewellery, as the beads are so temptingly pretty. Your attempts are impressive! A friend taught herself to make tiaras from crystal and now sells a lot of them through a local bridal shop.

Wow, your attempts to beaded jewellery are amazing! I remember the first time I tried it, you couldn't recognize what I had wanted to make - but yours looks so great already that I see a lot of lovely jewellery coming up in the future!
As for acupuncture, I can only highly recommend that! I myself only had it done a couple of times to help me quit smoking - which helped... for a while... but I talked with others and for most of them it seemed to work miracles. As I see it, it works best for pain treatment and for unclear ailments, pains and problems that doctors having a hard time finding out what it really is - like your problems! Perhaps you should just ask some people in your place if they know some good acupuncturist - and apart from that, what I realized is, it's best to go to someone who does acupuncture along with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). This way you'll have someone who really studied it and who really knows where the certain acupuncture points are - way better and more skilled than these esoteric freaks out there. I'd say, give it a try, it can only do you a world of good! Good luck in finding a good acupuncturist!
