Hemlock Ring Shawl

My Hemlock Ring Doily is finished - here it is flat and blocking.

And this is how I plan to wear it. It sits very comfortably on my shoulders and is beautifully soft and warm. It's made from 6 balls of Baby Alpaca DK from RYC , colour #207 Cheviot on 5.5mm Addi Turbos.

It was a very easy and quick knit.

And finished just in time!!

Have you seen Laura's gorgeous South Seas Stole? I have so enjoyed following all the stages of its knitting and I am so pleased to be test knitting it. I so far haven't got a photo that does it justice but I shall have before we go to France later this week.

Kathryn I always love visiting your blog as you always have such beautiful things to share. And this latest project is no exception, in fact I would go so far as to say it is one of the nicest knits I've seen this year. I love it! I just wish I had your knitting speed :)

Oh, My. Gosh. This is by far the most beautiful stole that I've seen for long - actually it's totally breathtaking! How very, very beautiful - and somehow I just can't believe the fact that it was a "quick and easy" knit as you said, it looks so complicated and delicate and fragile! Fantastic work!!!

I love your hemlock ring! It's absolutely gorgeous! Now I want to make one!

Thanks for your comment on my blog. You asked about a pattern for the pendant. Have you got the Beadworkers' Guild Book on Necklaces. There is a necklace in there called Diva. If you make four of the units as for Diva (three with drops and one without) and then stitch them together as in the photo on my blog, you will have a pendant like that one. It's attached to the spiral necklace with a peyote stitched loop. Let me know if you need any more info!

That really is extraordinarily beautiful with a wonderful drape. Enjoy wearing it!

Thank you for your encouraging words about the socks on my blog - gives me the confidence to get on and write up the pattern.

That is really beautiful. I have it in my "queue" at Ravelry. I amy have to make it sooner rather than later. Also, thanks for visiting the blog. I will let you know when www.silverleafsoap.com is ready.
