South Seas Stole Finished!!
I feel at such a loose end now it's finished....
It's lovely isn't it?
Thanks to Kate for modelling!
And I really enjoyed the test- knitting.
I used JaggerSpun Zephyr Wool-Silk, colour Aegean Blue and 3.75mm needles. The pattern will be available from Laura soon.
And all I've been able to think of to follow this, is to knit some no-thought socks. But useful because these will be presents.
Both of these are long so that they can show over the top of boots. One man-pair in PoshYarns lovely Helena - colour "Guy"
These "guy"socks have got a bit of rib above (on one sock only) and below the heel section because Michael has said that some of his socks slip down into his shoes; I'm hoping this will stop that.
and the other Cashmere from ColourMart and so soft...

Kathryn, your stole looks fabulous! I love it. Thank you so very much for your meticulous test knitting skills. I hope you enjoy your finished stole for years to come.
To anyone who cares, I plan on releasing the pattern for sale in November. Check my blog for availability.
The stole is superb, Kathryn! I can't wait for it to be available.
Hhmmm, will certainly try out your ribbing above and below the heel to keep the menfolk happy.... anything to keep 'em quiet!
Kathryn, the stole is stunning.
Gorgeous stole! So floaty and delicate.
Love the socks too, of course. :)
Stole looks great - clearly the model sets it off beautifully!!!! Socks also look great - whose modelling those??
Kathryn can I just send you my lace stash and some extra treats and you send it back knitted with divine inspiration like your Stole?! :) Its sooooooo beautiful.
Your stole turned out so very, very beautiful! What a really delicate pattern this is, and the colour is of course the perfect one - reminding me of the sea, summer, sun... all the good things in life! You did the perfect test knitting job with it - congratulation on a very, very beautiful accomplishment!
I really love the socks too - sometimes a bit of mindless knitting without complicated patterns is really important, especially after knits like the stole where you had to concentrate so much! These socks will make fantastic presents - I love their colours too!
You're so industrious! I love the SOuth Sea Stole, specially that middle part where the pattern seems to wiggle.
Glad your daughter's got into knitting - I am enjoying knitting with my Mum, as well as my S-i-L and aunt! (just in time for me to disappear off to Australia). Oh, and the knit stick sacks really are great.
What can I say! The South Seas stole is incredibly beautiful and the perfect colour, too!
