The holidays are perfect for knitting light floaty tops - especially those knitted from the top down that really don't need too much of a pattern. Easy knitting and the promise of lightness and airiness with just the right amount of warmth for the possible chill of a Summer evening.
The name of this pattern just sums it up perfectly - Simplicity Cardigan by Mary Annarella
This is the third little top I've knitted using a similar pattern and the exact same wool - Jaggerspun Wool/Silk lace weight. This time I've used thcolour Peacock knitted from an enormous cone that I bought economically I think two years or so ago and now I've found the perfect pattern for it.
I used 4mm circular needles.
I made the body and the sleeves longer than the pattern and did more short row shaping at the back as well.
I think if I were to knit this again in this yarn I would still use 4mm needles but follow the instructions for the fourth size
