Chateau de Rivau and not much knitting

Knitting time has been very limited this week. I've made slow progress on a plain cream cashmere sock which I'd intended to knit while we travelled here but I just felt too dizzy to knit in the car. I'm feeling a much better now and hope I'll be able to knit tomorrow on the return journey.

I had an ECG and loads of blood tests the day before we set off to France and they were all OK so I don't know what's the matter with me. May be the dr was right and it is anxiety because I've been much more relaxed since we got here and almost feel normal.

My Forest Canopy shawl is nearly finished - one more pattern repeat and then it can be blocked and photographed.

Instead of knitting I've been doing lots of sight-seeing and generally family things and while the men were at the forest adventure place we were here at the Chateau de Rivau which is just about 2 miles from us.

Over the last eight years or so the gardens have been being recreated to show something of how they used to be.

It's very exciting seeing it at the different seasons and watching it take shape from year to year.
